The Cistercian Route commitment to local tourism

The profile of tourists moving through the regions of Alt Camp and Conca de Barbera Urgell is a large percentage of local tourists arriving by car, especially since the rest of Catalonia, the Basque Country , and Aragon. For this reason we have wanted to devote efforts to carry out various promotional activities to further promote the delivery of this type of tourism.

In this sense, we have initiated several publicized in media strategy to promote the movement of a large flow of tourists to the Cistercian Route. Include, among others, advertising in different formats at the Vanguard, Discover and Salou.com Catalonia. This promotional campaign will be conducted periodically during the summer months, and in the autumn campaign to attract tourists in low season and during all periods of holidays and long weekends.

I should add that from the Cistercian Route has also participated in various campaigns, promotions and fairs that allowed for various public areas. Together with the Tourist Board of the Costa Dorada has participated in FITUR in Madrid, Barcelona and SITC NAVARTUR in Pamplona, ​​and two promotions, one in Bordeaux and the next that will coincide with the Festival in San Sebastian Jazz this July. Also reaitzen various promotional activities with the Tourist Board now Lleida Lleida Council. It has also participated in various workshops or special promotions to sell all the tourist attractions that exist in the Cistercian Route.

We have also organized several hunger and presstrips together with the provincial tourism boards of Lleida and Tarragona. The fam and press trips are familiarization trips for tour operators and journalists specializing in cultural tourism, gastronomic, active tourism and religious.
