The monumental heritage of the Alt Camp and Conca de Barberà districts includes one of the largest concentrations of Modernist style wineries in Catalonia. The architects Cèsar Martinell, Pere Domènech i Roura, among others, designed the so-called wine cathedrals in order to promote the modernisation of farming and wine-producing techniques.
